A(MUSE) me
Ever had those times when you're just in a funk? Not the kind where you're all sad and depressed. No, I mean a creative funk. Well, as most of my friends know, I love to draw, and I can only come up with something amazing if I'm looking at the model or picture I want to re-create. I also like to write, and have written some pretty decent fan fictions on Harry Potter a few years back. Within the past few weeks, I've been musing around ideas in my head of a story I want to write, as in, I've made up the main characters, their relationships with each other, and their initial bond. But what's lacking is where to begin, where to end, which character(s) make it to the end of the story? Anyways, I need a muse, and fast. Not only to help me in my art, but my text, too.

My Best Friend's Baby
This is Ellen Brooke. One of my best friends has been pregnant since November, and well, she was due July 29, but a day early is just fine. I'm so glad she brought such a beautiful little girl into the world, and I'm a very happy 'uncle'. You see, my friend and I are like siblings (the non-fighting kind) and we get along really well. She is going to get married in the fall to her fiancee, who is quite a nice guy, and they'll raise this beautiful Ellie. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to babysit. Holding her was a great experience, too. Maybe I'l rethink my nursing career in anesthethia and be a baby nurse? Who knows? Nursing holds many fields, and I could behold many beautiful creations like Ellie everyday if I so chose. Anyways, this is Ellen Brooke, Ellie or Brooke for short. Isn't she precious?

Madness
First off, I'd like to say that The Dark Knight, though incredibly long, is a very good movie. Both Bale's and Ledger's performances are spectacular, and the excitement in the movie is riveting. But on to the point of the post: Madness. In the movie, The Joker says, "Madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little... push." I have to give my applause to the writers because that line is so very true. I've always had this fasination with the mind and mental stability and just how fragile it really is. We think we can go about everyday, happy and somber, ready to challenge whatever comes our way or not be challenged at all as most of America thinks. You know, just think to yourself sometimes how truly close to the edge of insanity we are. I know I have, and I know anything is possible.

Oh Thunder cry

Oh Thunder cry!
Let thy teardrops bathe me.Sorrows of the earth cast die,
to beckon your cry and to be free.
I am victim to your staining eyes;
your radiant beams that tie.
You murder for the sake of life,
and take care of our painful strife.
I hear your saddening song.
Let me feel you take hold;
Strengthen my pain and undue cold
from this tragedy I have held so long.
Oh Thunder cry!
It's not the power of the curse, it's the power you give the curse
This is the first, official post on my blog! Well, to start off, I'm going to recommend movies. If you haven't already rented and/or bought it, I definitely recommend you go rent and/or buy Penelope on DVD. Not only does it have big names (Christina Ricci, James McAvoy, and Reese Witherspoon), but it's only rated PG and it's an amazing movie! Seriously, if you love fantasy mixed with reality in modern-day New York-type scenery, then go watch it. The title of this post, by the way, is a quote from the movie.Other movies I recommend you see:
Mamma Mia!
